RentRedi alternatives for landlords with 5 to 50 units
RentRedi charges one flat price for unlimited units: $12 a month billed yearly, with tenants paying $1 per bank payment by default. Alternatives that publish prices include Landlord Studio (free for 3 units, then from $144 a year), TurboTenant (from $149 a year), Innago (free for landlords), Avail (free, or $9 per unit), Hemlane ($28 plus $2 per unit a month) and TenantCloud (from $15 a month), plus DoorKeeping at $2 per unit. Which fits depends on your unit count, who you want paying the fees, and whether you want AI to run the work.
Why landlords look past RentRedi
RentRedi's pricing page shows one set of features at three payment rhythms. Reasons owners compare it with others tend to be specific: they want a free plan, a different mix of tenant fees, full accounting without a separate add-on (RentRedi's balance sheet needs its REI Hub add-on at $39 or $99 a month per its help center), or tools it does not describe, such as separate books per LLC. Our direct comparison covers RentRedi against DoorKeeping in detail.
Published prices at 10 units
Software price per year for a made-up owner with 10 units, from each company's own pricing page. Features differ widely, so a lower number is not a better deal on its own.
| Software | Software price, 10 units, one year | Tenant pays (bank / card) |
|---|---|---|
| RentRedi | $144 (billed yearly) | $1 per payment by default / 3.1% + $0.30 |
| Landlord Studio Pro | $144 + 7 x $1.00 x 12 = $228 | $2.50 (you choose who pays) / 3.49% |
| TurboTenant Essentials | $149 (1 to 10 units) | $2 per payment for renters of Free-plan landlords; free on Pro / 3.49% |
| Innago | $0 | $2 per payment / 2.99% |
| Avail Unlimited | $0 (Unlimited Plus: 10 x $9 x 12 = $1,080) | $2.50 / 3.5% |
| Hemlane Basic | ($28 + 10 x $2) x 12 = $576 | $0 / 3% |
| TenantCloud Starter | $180 ($15 a month, capped at 10 leases) | $1.95 per payment on Starter / amount not published |
| DoorKeeping | 10 x $2 x 12 = $240 | $0 by bank / 3% by credit card |
Prices read from each company's pricing page on 2026-10-30, or on 2026-10-29 for RentRedi, TurboTenant, Innago and TenantCloud. Landlord Studio uses its yearly-plan extra-unit rate of $1.00 a month.
Which one fits which need
- You own 1 to 3 units and want to pay nothing: Landlord Studio Go, Innago and Avail Unlimited all list a free route for the landlord. Compare what tenants pay, because that is where the free plans earn.
- You fill vacancies often: Avail, TurboTenant and RentRedi advertise listings, applications and screening as core features. Avail compared.
- You want a person to do some of the work: Hemlane's Essential and Complete plans add services and list tenant placement from $695.
- You want bookkeeping and a Schedule E report: Landlord Studio Pro, and DoorKeeping, which keeps separate books for each property.
- You manage through an AI app you already pay for: DoorKeeping connects to Claude and ChatGPT. None of the others describes that on its pricing page.
Compare the tenant fees, not just the plan
Example a made-up 20 unit owner whose tenants all pay by bank once a month. RentRedi's default $1 fee is 20 x 12 x $1 = $240 a year paid by tenants; Landlord Studio's $2.50 is 20 x 12 x $2.50 = $600 a year; Innago's $2 is $480. DoorKeeping's is $0 because rent goes straight to the owner's bank.
In each case the owner can usually choose to cover the fee. The point is to know who bears it before you choose a plan.
Where DoorKeeping fits
DoorKeeping is $2 per unit per month, every feature included, no setup cost and no minimum. Tenants pay no DoorKeeping fee by bank transfer, pay a 3% card fee if they choose a credit card (where state law allows it), and screening is passed through at cost. It is a good fit if you want rent matched to deposits automatically, books per LLC, and the day-to-day work done by asking an AI. See the full price table.

Questions
- What is the cheapest RentRedi alternative?
- On published landlord prices, Innago, Avail Unlimited and Landlord Studio Go list $0 for landlords. Tenants pay fees on several of them, so compare the full cost.
- Is there a RentRedi alternative with no tenant fees?
- DoorKeeping adds no tenant fee of its own: bank rent is free, and a tenant who pays by credit card pays a 3% card fee, where state law allows it. Rent and payments stay in your own bank accounts. DoorKeeping never holds your money and sends a payment only when you approve it.
- Which alternative has the most accounting?
- Landlord Studio Pro and DoorKeeping both list bank feeds and Schedule E reports. DoorKeeping also keeps a separate set of books for each property.
